"Nintendo decision to partner with DeNA is recognition of the
importance of the audience gaming applications for the future of
business," said the head of gaming research at IHS analyst Piers Harding
Rolls, as reported by the BBC on Tuesday (17/3).
According
to him, the alliance Nintendo-DeNA fit and offers a number of important
synergies for the two companies were no longer the lead in their
respective segments. According to data from IHS, last year's game application that is worth
26 billion dollars in consumer spending, but the handheld game consoles
accounted for only three percent of the market.
